BISP 8171 Payment Update
Due to the severe heat wave in Pakistan, a new payment method for BISP 8171 has been introduced. Under the Benazir Kafalat Program, payments will now be made to women from nearby approved retail outlets instead of camps. The April-June installment of Rs 13,500 is now being given through retailers after biometric verification. The government has taken this step to protect women from the sun, heat and long queues.

All BISP camps will remain closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, while payments will be possible only through retailers from Monday. The districts where the earlier payments have been made have now also been released in 22 new districts, including areas like Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Skardu, Mandi Bahauddin, and Bhakkar. If a woman faces a cut in her payment, she can immediately contact the BISP helpline or the nearest office.

Why Was the BISP 8171 Payment Method Changed?
The recent heatwave affecting many parts of Pakistan has made it unsafe for women to wait for hours outside BISP campsites. In response, the government has permanently closed all campsites and introduced a new method: payments through retailer shops with biometric verification.
Now, instead of traveling long distances and waiting outside in heat or rain, women can receive their BISP 8171 payment at the nearest approved shop quickly and safely.
